At Printer & Co, we recognise the important role that graphic design plays in expressing important messages visually in the most mindful way. In collaboration with designers and artists, we make products that convey a message, one that is worth spreading.
In this series, each notecard features one of the three "new" Chinese character created by the award-winning designer master, Freeman Lau. "Amongst the six methods of building Chinese characters, "associative compounds" (a character is formed by combining two or more elements, each with its own meaning) is most fascinating to me."
The new compound characters, "JOY", "LOVE" and "NATION" on each of the notecards resemble in form familiar characters; yet on closer look, the unusual elements of the characters reveal deeper meanings behind. Take your time and interpret in your own way!
